Trip to Harrison

We enjoyed our trip to Harrison last week. One of the kids favorite things to do there is go to Granny's work & shop. She runs a nonprofit organization called Share & Care. They provide food, clothing, etc. to those in need and have a 2nd hand store available to the public. The kids love to go and purchase gifts for Matt and me and anyone else they find a special bargain for (like themselves). They usually come home with all sorts of 'goodies'. They also went to Silver Dollar City (in the blazing heat) and had a blast there as well. Thanks for a great time, Granny & Ol'John!

My best friend (since we were 5 & 6), Sheila, also lives in Harrison. For those who don't know, I grew up in Harrison from age 5 to the 10th grade. Sheila lives with her husband, Kenneth,(who was away at guard drill) and daughters, Kailey (14) & Grace (8). Matt had to stay home and work. We got to spend some time with them as well. The kids all get along so good and shared many laughs. Kailey was quite the helper, always taking care of Kamryn for me. Thanks for having us! Miss you already....
